How to find us...

Festival of Bees is being held in and around the Pilkington Building at the University of Greenwich campus in Chatham. Parking will be free on the day in sign posted car parks on the campus.

To find your way to us, put the following address into your sat-nav - we are easy to find, just off the A289!

Finding us by car...

From London, the North and East Anglia (via M25 clockwise) and from the West and South-West (via M25 anticlockwise): Exit M25 at junction 2 signposted A2 Canterbury, where the A2 becomes the M2 at junction 1 leave the motorway and continue on the A2 signposted Gillingham. Follow the brown anchor signs for the Historic Dockyard and Chatham Maritime via the A289 and the Medway Tunnel. Take the first exit directly after emerging from the tunnel, turn right at the end of slip road, leading up Maritime Way towards Chatham. The campus entrance is the first exit at the next roundabout, signposted Pembroke and Universities at Medway.

From the South-East: Leave M2 at junction 4 signposted Gillingham. Follow the brown anchor signs for the Historic Dockyard and Chatham Maritime via the A278, A2 and A289. Take the last exit just before the Medway Tunnel, signposted Chatham and Historic Dockyard. At the end of the slip road, turn left up Maritime Way towards Chatham. The campus entrance is the first exit at the next roundabout, signposted Pembroke and Universities at Medway.

Finding us by train...

Chatham and Gillingham train stations are the most accessible stations for the campus and have regular services from Charing Cross, Waterloo East, London Bridge, Cannon Street, London Victoria, London St Pancras International, Ramsgate and Dover.

The University is a short bus or taxi journey from both stations. Chatham station is 2.3 miles from campus, roughly a 45 min walk or 5 min by bus. Gillingham station is 1.2 miles from campus, approx. 20 min walk or 10 min by bus (the bus stop is 5 min walk from the station).

A high-speed service is available from London St Pancras to Ebbsfleet International with a journey time of roughly 20 minutes. From Ebbsfleet you can catch a connecting train to Chatham which takes roughly 20 minutes.

Finding us by bus...

From Chatham train station: Arriva buses 1, 100, and 101 leave frequently from the bus stops outside Chatham train station and takes approximately 15 minutes to get to the campus. The bus stop for these services is on Dock Road, just outside the campus entrance. This is known as the Chatham Maritime stop or the Compass Centre stop.

From elsewhere in Medway: Arriva bus 116 travels through the Medway campus itself from Chatham waterfront bus station through to Hempstead Valley.

Finding us by air...

From London Heathrow take the underground to London Victoria then rail to Chatham - approximate journey time 2 hours. From London Gatwick take the Gatwick Express to London Victoria then train to Chatham - approximate journey time 90 minutes. If you are travelling from London Stansted take the train to Tottenham Hale station, then the underground to London Victoria. From Victoria take the train to Chatham - this journey is roughly two hours. Finally, from London Luton, take the train to London St Pancras railway station, then the underground to London Victoria. From Victoria take the train to Chatham - approximate journey time 2 hours.
