Festival of Bees
Firstly, where is Festival Of Bees going ahead?
On Saturday September 3rd 2022, at one of the most prestigious venues available in the UK, no back of beyond or second rate venues for Festival of Bees! We will be in Kent, the Garden Of England, at the historical University Of Greenwich, Medway Campus. These buildings have a rich naval history, with its beautiful red brick, the Medway Campus was previously a Royal Navy base. Just down the road is where Nelson's flagship HMS Victory was built at Chatham's Historic Dockyard.
Who will be there?
There will be stands from across the UK and beyond, from Beekeeping suppliers to smaller local businesses, we are sure you will find something for all the family!
The festival will be both inside and outside, so we hope for good weather, so we can achieve the whole festival theme along with many food and drink stands too.
What is there to do on the day?
There will be plenty of activities on site, from lectures from some of the best Beekeepers in the UK, exhibitions, educational talks and demonstrations which you can be involved with, including real Honeybees! We will have things for the kids too, from face painting, interactive demonstrations and experiences and roll your own candles to name a few. All of the lectures and talks are free, but strictly on a first come first served basis.
Our “innovation” area will be a platform filled with new ideas which will be an ideal way to learn about new products, starting up beekeeping or simply learning about our wonderful world of pollinators!
WE NEED YOU!
Of course the show would not be possible without the army of Stewards and local producers, so we want to hear from local producers of beekeeping products and from the pollination world, from seeds to strawberries, basically anything that is produced by bees or for use in and around the hive.
